Details

(Whiteboard: [from-geeksphone])

Phone type (Keon, Peak, other): Keon
OS version (Settings>Device information>More information>): 1.2.0.0-prerelease and 1.3 prerelease (downloaded from http://downloads.geeksphone.com/ )
Build Identifier (...>More information>): 20131008225041
Update channel (...>More information>): default

Steps to Reproduce:
1) Open browser or any other app that reacts to changing orientation to landscape
2) Tilt the phone from portrait to landscape

Expected Result:
The OS should switch the layout to landscape mode

Actual Result:
The OS stays in portrait mode

Is this issue sometimes or always reproducible:
I have the same issue, but with 1.1.1.0 on Keon. A reboot does fix this, but only until it occurs again...
I, still, have the same issue, but with 1.2 (2013-12-20)
+1. Any progress on this, and does it really affect Keon only?
Same problem on ver 1.3 pre-release. With the latest OTA update.
On a Keon with 1.2 this issue is always reproducible, and a reboot does not fix the issue as suggested above. The orientation lock setting is ignored and the phone is locked into permanent portrait mode.
Note that this bug is a duplicate of #961195:

https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=961195

See the comment near the bottom of that bug by viral. It appears that this issue may have resulted from changing the orientation code to use the acceleration sensor rather than the orientation sensor.
