I'm working on a prototype of a MozQA One-and-Done community app and I was hoping to get an API key for the Mozillians API.

I am only developing this locally on my work laptop and not currently hosting it publicly, but we are investigating integrating the Mozillians API so that when somebody logs in w/  Persona, we can say "Welcome #{full_name}" or "Welcome #{username}" and make it a bit more personal. Otherwise we'll have to ask them for their name after they log in and its an awkward workflow.

Very soon we'll have our developer and stage environments set up with a complete database that is anonymized (bug 699530), and I think that's a great place for you to play and tinker with the API for your prototype. Once that work is finished in the next week or so, I would be happy to give you an API key to the developer environment.

As your app moves from prototype to a released product, you can request an API for your production environment.

Long term we want to make it super easy for developers to get an API key from the user interface, similar to most API providers.
