Now that the docshell-getter patch from bug 923331 has landed, we should be able to remove some workarounds for missing docshells. Tim mentioned bug 880101. In an earlier bug where this happened, Dao also mentioned bug 463384. Finally, we should be able to remove the |if (this.docShell)| condition in the browser.xml constructor. And hopefully we can use the test in bug 880101 to make sure this is correct.

Part of what was described in the summary wrt bug 880101 has been fixed by bug 971685 already.
