User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Ubuntu; Linux x86_64; rv:24.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/24.0 (Beta/Release) Build ID: 20130911155223 Steps to reproduce: I built B2G like described in https://blog.non.co.il/index.php/zte-open-phone-upgrading-to-firefoxos-1-1-how-to/ and started it. Actual results: B2G 1.3 prerelease starts and tries to but is unable to find wifi. It also does not connect when given the connection details manually. I tried different wifi access points, all with same results. The wifi setting is enabled but stuck on “Initializing…” and “Searching…”. Adb logcat says: […] I/Gonk ( 111): RIL[0]: OnConnectError I/Gonk ( 111): RIL[0]: OnDisconnect I/Gonk ( 111): RIL[0]: OnConnectError I/Gonk ( 111): RIL[0]: OnDisconnect I/Gonk ( 111): RIL[0]: OnConnectError I/Gonk ( 111): RIL[0]: OnDisconnect […] and so on, you get the idea. See the attachment for more. Expected results: B2G should have found the access points and connected to them, like it did before the upgrade.
forgot: hardware is a ZTE Open from Ebay UK
Attached file adb-logcat.tar.gz
AFAIK, gonk of Firefox OS is not fully compatible with gonk used by ZTE Open. And using |flash.sh| will replace ZTE-gonk with Mozilla-gonk, then cause compatibility issue. So please restore ZTE Open to its original firmware, then update Firefox OS only by using command |flash.sh gaia| and |flash.sh gecko|. Then WIFI should be working.
