As described, this seems unlikely to have gone unnoticed for the entire Aurora cycle. Are there more details you can provide? Does this happen in Nightly too? Is this intermittent?

I can reproduce in Nightly27.0a1 http://hg.mozilla.org/mozilla-central/rev/23c23b472a4f Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:27.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/27.0 ID:20131021030203 Yes, it happens intermittently.

Severity: normal → minor
Are those entries referring to the same target file? Do they have identical progress?
(In reply to :Paolo Amadini from comment #5) > Are those entries referring to the same target file? Do they have identical > progress? Yes, same file. When download big file, it is different progress indication. The first(lower) seems to normal. But the second(upper) the progress indication stops and stalls
This is intermittent - can QA confirm how frequently (if at all) they can reproduce so we can gauge user impact here?

I tried reproducing this bug on the Latest Nightly without success. Environment used: Build identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:28.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/28.0 Build Id: 20131108030204 Os: Win 7 x64

You should attempt with newly created profile.
I used 4 new profiles with the latest Nightly and still didn't manage to reproduce the bug: Environment used: Build identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:28.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/28.0 Build Id:20131111030205 OS: Win 7 x64
(In reply to Catalin Varga [QA][:VarCat] from comment #10) > I used 4 new profiles with the latest Nightly and still didn't manage to > reproduce the bug: > > Environment used: > Build identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:28.0) > Gecko/20100101 Firefox/28.0 > Build Id:20131111030205 > OS: Win 7 x64 Because the link in comment#0 is obsolete. You should use the following link insted of the above http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/nightly/latest-mozilla-aurora/firefox-27.0a2.en-US.win32.installer-stub.exe
The bug is reproducible using a new profile and only for direct download links eg: http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/nightly/latest-mozilla-aurora/firefox-27.0a2.en-US.win32.installer-stub.exe or http://www.skype.com/ro/download-skype/skype-for-windows/downloading/ However if you go to http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/nightly/2013-11-11-03-02-05-mozilla-central/ and click firefox-27.0a2.en-US.win32.installer-stub.exe the bug doesn't reproduce anymore. Environment used: Build identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:28.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/28.0 Build Id:20131111030205 OS: Win 7 x64
Given that this is intermittent, only happens with a new profile, and does point to the same target file this is no longer serious enough to track and we'll take a low risk uplift when available but it's too late for FF26.
