Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:0.9.2+) Gecko/20010724.
When reading email off an IMAP server, attachments are lost. You cannot copy or
move a message to local folders without losing the attachment. When you save
the attachment, you always get a 27 byte file with contents like below:
N^X¬n<87>r¥ªíÂ)emçhÂyhi×<9D>¢w^<99>©Ý
Removing the local mail cache and reloading the message makes no difference.
Accessing the IMAP server using pine allows me to retrieve the attachment
without a problem.
Here is the contents of the local mail cache with some of the mail routing
headers removed:

imap problem, not a mail database problem. Scott, this might be related to some
of the mpod changes we've been making.

Is this still happening?
If it is please attach a IMAP log of your IMAP session and the problemed email.
Read more about how to log IMAP at:

Yes, this is still happening in Mozilla 0.94+ (daily build from 17-Oct-2001).
I have the IMAP log from the session and would be happy to forward it to you
individually, but would not like to post it to this bug as it contains
information that may be of interest to those mass-marketing types. ;)

please do forward the imap log and the mailmessage that you're having problems
with and I'll try to reproduce.
You're using "Mozilla 0.94+ (daily build from 17-Oct-2001)" ?
Please try with Mozilla 0.9.5+

Reproduced bug with Mozilla 0.9.6.
Message and IMAP log forwarded to assigned person.

my guess is that you have the folder in question configured for offline use. If
so, you can get around this by turning off the offline use flag in the folder
properties and deleting the .msf file for the folder (and you should delete the
offline store as well, which has the same name as the folder, w/o the .msf
extension). Or, you can upgrade to a more recent mozilla build (post .9.6),
sometime in the past week or two), and delete the .msf file as well (but leave
the folder configured for offline use).

Select the folder, bring up the offline tab of the properties dialog to see if
the folder is configured for offline use.

I would say this is a dup of bug 110067 - please note that you have to delete
your .msf file, AND run a newer build. Any mozilla trunk build after 11/19 will
have this fixed, IF you delete your .msf file.

Confirmed fixed by upgrading to 0.9.6+ (build from HEAD 12/10) and removing
local caches.
