Searching, in general, is likely to be broken, I think. The genxref script appears to be hanging up while parsing the various addons. Attempting to work out whether it's one specific addon or something more painful.
Narrowed it done to two addons that were causing problems: Exchange 2007/2010 Tasks Provider and PageExpand. Will try to figure out what the issue is with the two of them, and also to see if I can get the xref data in place, sans those two addons.
This appears to be fixed; the issue was intermittent and then stopped, afaict.
