Social App category is truncated when displayed on Everything.me screen

Repro Steps:
1) Updated Buri to BuildID: 20131025004000
2) Swipe device to right to Everything.me page
3) Tap the everything.me textbox and wait for the default categories to appear
4) Once categories appear, observe the appearance of the Social category

Actual:
Category name is shown truncated 

Expected:
Category name appears not truncated

What does the current translation say?  What would only 'Social' be?  Using anymore then 2 links will end up looking too messy.

Current translation means "social networks", social alone would probably be "Społecznościowe" and would not change much for truncation probably.

There isn't much we can do because of the length of the word "Społecznościowe".  Why don't we try reducing the font size of only the second line by .5pt - 1pt and see what it looks like.

After inspecting it looks like icons + labels are data:uri generated images… why not check for available space and fit the label before generating image? There are other truncations in search result (that are not exposed to localization) - if so, we should probably move this bug to Firefox OS::Gaia::Everything.me

On the 2/18 Buri 1.3 build, the truncation described in Comment 0 does not occur as presented in the attached screenshot. The full word does not display "Społecznościowe" when not selected but when user taps and holds, initially the full word "Społecznościowe" briefly shows then reverts to "Społecznośc"

Seeing as this is a home screen issue I'm redirecting to Peter La since he may have come up with a solution for this already (it's been a long time since there's been any traction on this!).

Well, we have 3 options.

1) find a shorter string.  When I type 'social' into the english to polish translator, I get 'społeczny', which looks like it might be short enough.
2) Shrink the type.
3) Allow 2 lines of text for icon labels.

#2 is not a good solution, and we've already done tests for 2 line labels, and decided against allowing them due to homescreen clutter, so #3 is not a good solution either.

My suggestion is to go with 'społeczny' unless the meaning is off.  Can someone who knows Polish confirm?

We are generally limited to about 12 characters.
So 'społeczny' is our best solution, as a polish speaker it makes sense to me.
We need to be creative with the translation of these labels due to the real estate limitations: 
+ 1 word
+ 12 characters max

Term "społeczne" as opposed to "społecznościowe" as description of social media or services is used in Poland almost exclusively when one wants differentiate from mainstream understanding of it, so I don't think it would fit here.

Please re-open or file a new bug if you feel that this bug still exists in master.
