Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.goto acm.org
2.try to download something in the member section, the typing in password will
come up
3.sever bug, all other pages are non-functional.

Step 2 is very unclear.  I don't see anything on the page that looks like a 
"members section" nor anything on the page that talks about "downloading".

Furthermore, do we need to be a registered user on acm.org in order to reproduce 
this bug?  In that case you are going to have to provide whomever is debugging 
this with your password.

Since I can't reproduce the bug (because of step 2) and I don't really 
understand the symptoms being described, I can't say for sure what component 
this is.  But I believe it's probably an http-authentication bug rather than a 
password-manager bug.  Reassigning.

The password dialog is modal (which it should be).  GTK is buggy and only allows
application-modal dialogs, not window-modal ones.  Until we write our own
modality implementation, this is the state of things.

yeah.,
it's relating to that modal dialog box problem.

btw, i think the save file as thing, should have a icon option so that you can
add a directory.
and maybe make teh dialog box poll the directory every 2,3 seconds ?

btw, i think i've posted this as a bug report before, but if you hit the end
button on your keyboard, and you try to go left with the arrow
key, it won't work.
mission critical bug.

if you think this particular bug is *not* a duplicate, please provide a
compelling reason, as well as check a recent *trunk* build (on the appropriate
platform[s]), before reopening.
