My Firefox has DOM Storage disabled, and as a result I can't open the Google cache. If it is enable again, the cache works perfectly.

To reproduce:

1. Go to about:config, set dom.storage.enabled to false
2. Enter google and search for anything.
3. Press the green down arrow beside the link, which normally is used to open the cache. Nothing happens (see screenshot 1).
4. Go back and turn DOM Storage on. It works (see screenshot 2)

I'm not sure if this problem is due to Firefox or Google (it worked fine till recently) but I don't see any harm in asking. Maybe someone with an older version of Firefox can check it out.
Same in IE with DOM Storage disabled.

Some silly bug in Google's JS means it won't show the little drop-down menu that has among other features the "cache" link if DOM Storage is disabled.. It's cross-browser, so we could move this to webcompat.com.
