Hi Francesco,
We have consolidated all the necessary strings to create the screenshots for marketing purpose. We have tried to use actual screenshots from device where it could be taken, but the resolution was too low for the use for different purpose.
Please provide the translations in this doc: https://docs.google.com/a/mozilla.com/document/d/17I5Q1V9CINFAqoIJ6J2Zw7OPUVIj29gsgpGY5cpZBFA/edit. Do use the actual UI terms from http://transvision.mozfr.org/.
The simulated screenshots are here for reference (en/de): https://www.dropbox.com/s/unrcegsda6ggbug/FXOS_Screenshots_DE-FinalR2.pdf
Let me know if you need anything else.
Thank you,
Peiying

Adding Sara and Sandro as a start. How do you like to organize this?

> My mom says hello: Mia madre ti saluta!
Not sure about the exclamation point here. Also, "Ti saluta mia madre." sounds more natural to me.
>Hello Friends! Join us on Saturday: Ciao a tutti! Unitevi a noi sabato…
"Ci troviamo sabato?"
>My bulletin, Balloonies
Did you left these in English intentionally?
>The League: Lega Calcio
I'd say "Campionato" more than "Lega Calcio".
@Pei
About "Impostaz.": in 1.1 is "Impostaz." because of space problems, in 1.2 is "Impostazioni". Are we targeting 1.2 or 1.1?
What exactly is a "Book beamer"?
"Everything X": should we provide the best translation or should we check what e.me does?

> "Ti saluta mia madre." sounds more natural to me.
OK, I'll change it.
>"Ci troviamo sabato?"
Since in the screenshot the sentence continues after the "…", how about "Ci troviamo sabato a…"
>My bulletin, Balloonies
Yes. I left them in English because the respective logo/icons seem to suggest that they are specific app/sites (I wasn't able to find them, though). Furthermore the "Baloonies" icon is a "b", so there is no clear connection with "palloncini" in Italian.
>"Campionato" more than "Lega Calcio"
OK.
>What exactly is a "Book beamer"?
From what I've found there are some "beamer" apps that let you share the content of your smartphone display on a bigger screen (like a computer one), and others that connect it wirelessy to a projector. Maybe is something for reading the ebooks downloaded on the cellphone on a wider screen?

No idea, let's see if Pei knows more.

<any of the app names are fake (other than the ones recognized globally)... most importantly the icons we use, hopefully, are not used anywhere for an actual product. I am checking German version. It means Book Delivery.
Adding Matej, who will coordinate the screenshot creation, to comment on this.

Yes, many of the app names are made up. If there's an easy translation you can come up with that fits, go ahead and provide it. Otherwise, it's fine to leave some of the app names in English.
As for "Everything X," that should be as it appears in the product.
And this is targeting 1.1, so please use strings from that release.
Let me know when this is ready to go and we'll begin the design process.
Thanks.

Good morning Matej! :-)
Page 15: "Last Tuesday" (it: Martedì Scorso) is not localized.

They look pretty good.
> "Indirizzo o testo di ricerca"
The actual text is "Indirizzo o testo ricerca" (updated the doc).
http://transvision.mozfr.org/?sourcelocale=en-US&locale=it&repo=gaia_1_1&search_type=entities&recherche=apps/browser/browser.properties:enter-search-or-address.placeholder
> Great find! I’ll definitely check it… : Interessante! Lo guarderò sicuramente…
Missing space is the screenshot "guarderòsic..." (it's there in the doc).
> Last Tuesday
I guess that's the name of the track playing, so it should be fine in English.
> Impostaz
You're missing a final dot ("Impostaz.").
> Caffeinomani
It's not working, I couldn't even recognize the word.
@sara
Should we try with "Amanti del caffé"?
> D.I.Y. Barista
@sara
What about "Barista fai da te", "Barista fai-da-te"?
That "Book beamer" icon/name keeps puzzling me...
> Notes
Note?

>Caffeinomani = Amanti del caffé
That could work, or maybe, with proper hyphenation "Caffei-nomani" it becomes more readable (if it's possible to split it like that).
>D.I.Y. Barista = Barista fai da te
I'm OK with that.
>Book beamer
What if we ignore the English source and focus on a name that fits the icon? Like "Feed libri"?

Sorry, forgot the last one:
>Notes = Note
Notes is a real app sold in the Marketplace https://marketplace-dev.allizom.org/app/notes?src=search
I personally would keep its name consistent.

Now that I think of it, it kind of clashes with comment 12 though.

Uhm, surely it would look better in Italian, but the icon and name are the same… is that a coincidence that the "fake app" and the real app look identical?
@Matej I've updated the doc with the last suggestions (D.I.Y. Barista, Book beamer).
Let me know if you can split "Caffei-nomani" like this instead of "Caffein-omani", if not I'll change the translation in "Amanti del caffè".
Another very minor error:
page 3
>"Tra poco vado a lez.…"
There are four "."in a row. Should be "Tra poco vado a lezi…"
Thank you for the hard work.

Thanks so much for the review and the feedback. To help make sure we get everything right, could you please collect all the changes into a single comment or a separate document, including which screen each change is on? That would really help a lot.
Just to address a couple of things here:
The Notes app appears to be translated in most languages, but not all. Unfortunately, I'm not sure if that means the app is localized in some but not others or if we just missed it. Is there any way you could check if the app on the Marketplace is localized?
Also, flod is correct about "Last Tuesday." That's the name of the song.
Thanks again.

I'll do it

@Sara
I tried with "Caffeinomani" but it's always impossible to read on two lines.
I tried Notes on my Keon and the icon is called Notes, I'd leave it in English.
Here's the list
Page 3
"Tra poco vado a lez...."
There are 4 dots instead of 3, so it should read "Tra poco vado a lezi..."
Page 6
Replace address bar placeholder with "Indirizzo o testo ricerca" (remove "di").
Page 13
"Lo guarderò sicuramente" is missing a space.
Page 17
Impostaz -> Impostaz. (add final dot)
Page 18
Caffeinomani -> Amanti del caffé
D.I.Y. Barista -> Barista Fai da te
Proiettore Libri -> Feed libri

One other thing to note is that I also ask the designer to make a few changes, in case you're wondering why some things are different from the last version.

The corrections look good, but now in slide 2 "Connessione…" lacks the "…", is there a reason for this change?

This was left off the original sets we did in English, Spanish and Polish. I'm not sure if it was mistake or if the product later changed, but by the time we figured it out, we decided to leave it off all the screenshots for consistency. This is one of the things we'll look at when we work on a new set for the next major milestone release and redesign.
Everything else is OK then?
