Steps to reproduce:

1. I tried typing in order to use the FAYT method (Find as you type) and nothing happened.
2. Then I hit Ctrl-F and still nothing happened.
3. Then I hit Alt-E,F and still nothing happened.


Actual results:

Nothing happens.  It's as if the feature has been removed.


Expected results:

1.  For the FAYT,  words on the page should have highlighted, as well as my cursor should have jumped to one of the highlights.
2.  When I hit Ctrl-F, the find dialogue box should have appeared.

Hi loop, if you check in about:config, and filter on "typeahead", does it look like your accessibility:typeaheadfind setting is set to True?

This page says that typeaheadfind should install with a default to True: http://www.mozilla.org/access/type-ahead/. FF 25 on Win7 installs with this preference set to "false".

I think it has been off by default for a long time.

Hi Liz.  Thanks for your reply.  I just checked and my typeahead settings in about:config are mostly set to true.
