User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10.7; rv:24.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/24.0 (Beta/Release) Build ID: 20130910160258 Steps to reproduce: Downloaded http://www.bugzilla.org/docs/4.4/en/images/bzLifecycle.xml and attempted to open it using Dia 0.97.2 running under X11 on Mac OS 10.7. Actual results: Dia reported “Not a Dia file”. Expected results: Dia should have been able to open the file.
I have discovered that this is because the linked XML Dia file contains a comment. The files loads OK if the comment is removed. I have reported this upstream at the “see also” of this bug. This bug is thus an observation that a workaround is required. Since I imagine that there is a requirement that the Mozilla Licence declaration appear somewhere in the file, it's difficult to envisage a workaround.
