Amen, could you help to have the developer who is in charge of this and modify it? Thanks

All notices are displayed in this location in the SMS app, I think the reason is that displaying them on the bottom of the screen would make them over the composer, which is quite bad.

Hi Julien,
In the email selection of building blocks status page, I saw that you can display status on top of the toolbar. How about we display status on top of the composer? I think the position right now is a little awkward, don't you think?

Yep thats why we put it where it is.

We did not specify to put them at the top of the screen so that they don't conflict with notifications from the systems notifications tray. Visually they are quite similar.
I would be inclined to mark this as a WONTFIX as it is working as specified and is not a usability issue. However I would also be inclined to try and align the in app notifications during the forthcoming redesign.
ni? to you Julien, what do you think?

The status on top of the composer would hide the latest message (aka the most important message). For a banner that is not disappearing (eg: the "you reached the max number of characters for a SMS" notice, or the "you got a message" notice) this is probably very annoying. For a notice that is disappearing, I don't really care.
Is consistency important for these notices? If we can have the non-transient ones on top of the view, and the transient on top of the composer, ths would be ok for me. Could make sense to have all transients notices more near the bottom of the screen.

From what I have seen in current 1.2 and 1.3 devices, in-app status will show up at the bottom of the screen(eg: Converting to MMS or text message). Only the status displayed in system notifications will show up at the top of the screen (eg: you got a new message or email). I am currently working on building blocks for inconsistency over the system, and I think it will be great if we can have all the in-app status in message display on top of composer in forthcoming design. Thanks

Wontfixing this.
It does not mean we won't eventually work on this, but I think we won't do this without proper spec for a redesign. I don't see this happening soon so I'm cleaning this.
When we want to do a redesign taking this into account, we'll file new bugs.
