severe twm focus issues under slackware linux

Details
I use the twm window manager that comes with the base XFree86 4.1 system.
The 2001080104 build for linux browser has severe issues with mouse focus
especially typing into any text box such as the URL/Search location bar.
Highlighting text in an xterm and then pasting it into the text boxes
seems to work correctly, so it appears to just be related to the focus.
Arrow keys inside of text boxes also seem to be disabled further complicating
smooth keyboard-based navigation. Twm may be old, but it is NOT dead. :)
It is still faster than any other window manager I've used, and comes as the
default base window manager for X.

Hmmmm...I'm downgrading my initial severity after switching to my root account
and testing the problem there using the default .twmrc that comes with XFree86.
It appears to be a conflict with something in my regular account's .twmrc
that Netscape 4.08 never experienced. I will work on narrowing it down some
more later on. Sorry for any panic. ;)

No doubt this is the same bug, but as we've noted in that other bug, there is
some question of whether it's caused by something in one's initialization of twm.
(As I mentioned, I don't see the bug on my Redhat machine unless I intentionally
skip all the standard xinit startup script initialization). If you ever managed
to find something in one of your .twmrc files that seemed related, please mention
it in the dupe bug.
