Newsletter, for the Developer Program, should be an option/checkbox in the Edit MDN account page. E.g. https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/profiles/robnyman/edit

Spoke with Robert about this over email. Robert is fine with having the sign-up form on the profile edit page only and simply linking to that page from the Developer Program page. We decided to also remove the sign-up form from the /newsletter page in favor of this linking approach considering how few people visit the /newsletter page.

It should also be mentioned that when you create a new MDN account, there should also be an option of signing up to the newsletter (Bug 932707).

Thanks for pointing that out, Robert -- that bug somehow slipped under my radar until I saw your comment. The updates will include a checkbox on the signup form.
