/r/Mozilla has a new moderator running things and has added one staff member. Were hoping to grow the Mozilla Subreddit on Reddit and feel that some theme work would be helpful. Other open source subreddits such as /r/Ubuntu have theming and are thriving communities that help their projects spread project related news to the masses.
Hi Benjamin. Can you share any details about design specs, assets required, etc that would help us scope this?
Hi John, Some details of dimensions and styling are available here http://www.reddit.com/wiki/styling which has examples of subreddits including Apple's. Also here is Ubuntu's as an example http://www.reddit.com/r/ubuntu I think making a header and doing some CSS would be a really small investment that could help us grow the Mozilla community on Reddit.

To start, i think it would be best if we could take it to the sandstone theme and update the logo .. Adding an attachment of what it can be made like quick :D
I don't want to derail this or make it harder, but it would be awesome if we could also give the MozillaTech reddit a similar treatment.
djc: We will hopefully use the new theme/branding across the Mozilla related subreddits. hardfire: Really digging the sandstone.
Yeah! do let me know how i can help with this. would be more than happy to do so.
Hi (first comment here) I have some experience with designing subreddits. I can help with both the graphics side and the CSS code. I'll try to post a mockup here in the next few days just to see if that's what you're looking for.
@hardfire - thanks for sharing the mockup. Would you like to continue with this? The Sandstone is looking good...would suggest seeing how you can incorporate the actual Mozilla wordmark though (available at http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/styleguide/). A similar approach would work for the Firefox one, but would of course want to see the Firefox logo on there as well as the Firefox color palette from http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/styleguide/websites/sandstone/colors/. Thanks!
@JohnSlater yes sure, I can do that
@hardfire - Do you know if there is a way to do sandbox theme testing for reddit?
@bkerensa - no, though i think there could be a way to inject a custom stylesheet to a page via developer tools .. not sure though!

Avinash, Do you have a reddit account if so I can add you to a sandbox subreddit I made http://www.reddit.com/r/MoBranding/ so we can test some styling.
Benjamin, Yes, I am hardfire on reddit. Lets test some styles, yeah!

Hi all, I am currently one of the mods on /r/mozilla. Care to share the CSS code? I can populate that into the subreddit theme
