RESOLVED DUPLICATE of bug 616853

People

(Reporter: gmcfoley, Unassigned)

Details

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:25.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/25.0 (Beta/Release)
Build ID: 20131112160018

Steps to reproduce:

Go to u7167.com (This is one of those Police virus pages)

When you try to close the page it asks you to confirm. If you click "leave page", Firefox asks you to confirm again. This continues in an infinite loop. To close Firefox you have to first disable JavaScript in about:config or kill the process in Task Manager.

It shouldn't be possible for webpages to hold a browser hostage like this.
