Without telling design how to design, I think it's important to have some visual indication of what search provider I'm using [which is the default provider] when I hit 'enter' on my keyboard. Current design works well in tablet form, but many users are (and will be) using keyboards. If they hit 'enter' on the physical (or virtual) keyboard, then the search is completed via the default provider. Being able to change the provider is one thing (bug submitted), but having a visual indication (like the provider's favicon in the URL bar) would let me know what provider I'm using when I hit 'enter'. (I know it would be obvious AFTER I hit enter, but I'm thinking about future-proofing this interaction to show value in that default position.)
