Steps to reproduce:
Close nightly. Open nightly. go to gmail.com (probably need to be logged in to gmail to see this)
Actual results:
while gmail is loading, the "download started" animation (the one that happens when you download a file) is triggered.
Note that it doesn't seem to actually download any file (at least, according to the download history dialog).
I can reproduce it both on nightly on windows and on Firefox 25 on Fedora
Expected results:
This animation should only trigger when actually downloading a file.

Can't reproduce on 28.0a1 (2013-12-02), Win 7 x64.
Please check if the issue occurs using Firefox in safe mode (with your addons disabled):

Or on a new, empty profile:
