In the installer we talk about "Quick Launch". We should be using "Quick Start" which is a much better term. "Quick Launch" is already used in the windows world. It's the toolbar in the left bottom side of the screen.
Thanks for pointing this out. That kind of naming is up to the PM folks, but given a choice I too would prefer "Quick Start" over "Quick Launch" to avoid conflicts with Microsoft's naming scheme. I am not overly concerned as both seem to meet the requirements for english language UIs that it is easy to understand what they do. cc'ing proper folks.
putting on the radar.. someone want to say yea or nay?

I believe that we should stick with Quick Launch for the following reasons: a) It's already out there in the product and press and has had positive response. b) Most users don't know what Quick Launch in Windows is anyway, so I don't think there's going to be many people who are confused. Additionally, the users savvy enough to know about Windows Quick Launch are the same users that are savvy enough to not be confused. c) It describes the feature more than adequately.
