This includes all windows, browsers, news/email, and composer. A tad more testing appears to point to my duel monitor system. The monitor attached to the Mac's internal video port and with the menu bar allows me to resize the window to whatever size I desire (attempted @ 640x480,800x600,1024x768). On the external monitor attached to an ixMicro iRez card, the windows will not grow beyond 800 pixels wide regardless of display resolution. Anyone? -Scott
I need me one of them duel monitor systems. We'd need details of the problematic system. Perhaps it has something to do with his particular monitor arrangement, or who knows. I had no such troubles on Pinkerton's system just now. Since there's no email for the original reporter, I'm closing the bug.

Hey, not fair. It's a pretty good bug report. My guess is that seeing this bug involves some combination of which is the main monitor (the one with the menu bar), and the relative sizes (and positions?) of that and subsidiary monitors. Let me try to repro...

i've seen something similar on win98 where the window is as large as the screen but the topleft is not at 0,0 (might have pulled in window location prefs from 4.x or something). The window can not be made larger at all even though there is plenty of real estate to grow. This is on a single-monitor system. Think this is the same thing?
Could be, yes.
