943824 - hi-IN stub installer is only partially localized

STR:

1. Install the Fx 26b8 hi-IN stub installer from ftp://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/nightly/26.0b8-candidates/build1/win32/hi-IN/

Expected results: the stub-installer should be completely localized

Actual results: the stub-installer is only partially localized: some buttons/text appear in English (please see the attached screenshot for more details)


Notes:

1. This issue reproduces on: Vista 32bit, Windows 7 64bit and Windows 8.1 64bit
2. This issue is also reproducible with Firefox 25.0.1 (checked on Vista 32bit)

Can we be more specific about where these strings are located in the hi-IN repo? It appears that http://hg.mozilla.org/releases/l10n/mozilla-aurora/hi-IN/file/74525a47a9b5/browser/installer/nsisstrings.properties is translated.

When installing Firefox Setup 31.0b9.exe from ftp://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/nightly/31.0b9-candidates/build1/win32/hi-IN/ the Installer windows are not translated, English is used in this case. Maybe they came from the link below: 
http://hg.mozilla.org/releases/l10n/mozilla-beta/hi-IN/file/92d9f7d01053/browser/installer/custom.properties

When I installed the Stub version, I could see the same screens that Manuela attached.

Jeff, the link you indicated is from aurora, the stub installer there has a different look than the beta version.

I assume by your response that the location of the stub installer strings I provided is accurate, allbeit in another channel. 

Localizaton takes place on the Aurora channel. As you can see from the link to the Aurora channel repo, the Hindi team has corrected the issue and it will ride the train with Fx32. That being said, I think it's appropriate to close this bug. Please reopen if a descrepancy remains.

This is a sign-off issue now, not an untranslated string issue. The Hindi community needs to more fully update their localization of Firefox before this will be signed off and included in builds. As tou can see in the repository, however, the string is translated and thus fixed.
