Hi, We have a question for acatel OnetouchFire users with version 1.1 who would like to be able to see the file://storage or any file path on an sd card from the built in browser or from a file manager. STEPS TO REPRODUCE: 1. Open browser 2. navigate to file file://storage 3. see html page on sdcard EXPECTED RESULTS: see file ACTUAL RESULTS: blank, no files are visible from browser, and firefox beta is not available in Marketplace. Please let me know if there is any information I could provide to help with the investigation and troubleshooting of this issue. Thanks!!
I can confirm that, it is impossible to open by FirefoxOS browser .html file which is located on a SD card.

There are already some apps on Marketplace to address this need: https://marketplace.firefox.com/app/explorer?src=search, https://marketplace.firefox.com/app/alpha-explorer?src=search, https://marketplace.firefox.com/app/sd-explorer?src=search I'm not sure whether we really want to change the browser app for this anyway.

Why? It is one of basic functionalities of every browser. Programs that you listed are File System Explorers, then they should be used for not only list of files in folders but also (even if they are not now) to manipulate them on entire SD card (or any storage that can be found in phone for user). Browser should be able to navigate through file system and open those files that it is able to open - in my case .html file.
