Steps to reproduce:

Sorry, I don't know what happened, but after several weeks or months there is still this error message.
Today I removed Firefox Sync, but it didn't fix the problem.


Actual results:

JavaScript Console shows on almost every keypress in location bar: 
1) Async statement execution returned with '11', 'database disk image is malformed' in resource://gre/components/nsPlacesExpiration.js on row 640
2) Places AutoComplete: An async statement encountered an error: 11, 'database disk image is malformed' in resource://gre/components/nsPlacesAutoComplete.js on row 638


Expected results:

1) db should not be malformed
2) there should be some help what can I do to fix it

I found similar bugs: 658300, 825552: but didn't find how to fix this problem.

Maybe 609286, but it has very long thread... It is easier for me to change default browser to Chrome or Opera then put another hour in investigation...

Now I found https://addons.mozilla.org/cs/firefox/addon/places-maintenance/

It displayed:
> Integrity check
- The database is corrupt
> Reindex
- Unable to reindex database
> Integrity check
- The database is corrupt
- Unable to fix corruption, database will be replaced on next startup

This means the places.sqlite database is totally broken... try to create a new profile and import a valid json bookmarks backup into it from the Library (you can find them in the profile folder, under a bookmarksbackup folder).

Unfortunately there's not much we can do about a corrupt file, please verify your system for possible disk/memory failures.
