94788 - No progress bar when copying to local sent folder

We currently do not show the progress of copying message to the local sent
folder. When you are copying the message to an imap sent folder we do display
the progress  in the progress dlg as well as spinning bar in the status bar. 

buildid: 2001-08-10-09 mac,linux.  2001-08-09-09 win98

steps to reproduce:
In accounts and setting/copies and folders -change the copy to sent folder to a
local sent folder
Open mail
Compose a new message
Attach a fairly large attachment so that you have time to observe the current
behavior
Send the message

Actual Result:  You will see the spinning status bar along with a send progress
window which shows only the message send in progress. When the message is being
copied to the local sent folder is not being tracked. The title bar in the small
progress window does not show any copy progress at all.  

Expected result:  show the copy to sent folder progress for local sent folder
too. The progress of copy should be tracked the same way we do with the imap
sent folder

adding keyword.  We should show the progress in the send progress dialog when 
sent copy is placed in local sent folder.

you mean you want to see the progress bar moving? The problem is that the copy
to a local folder is very quick, we don't have time to show any progress.

If I remember right the real problem is that the local copy is made
synchronously. That's why we don't any update on the progress dialog! cc'ing navin

I was about to file a new bug about a similar issue.

My Sent folder is on the IMAP server.
From what you said, it seems, at the time you reported this bug:
- you saw progress while storing to the IMAP sent folder
- you did not see progress while storing to a local sent folder.

However, I do NOT see a moving progress bar while my message is stored to the
IMAP server. I'm remote, and copying a 1 megabyte attachment takes a while, and
the the only thing I see is the progress bar "spins", but does not grow.

As of version 3.0.5 (Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9.1.10) Gecko/20100512 Thunderbird/3.0.5), I'm seeing continuously updated status in the "status bar" (bottom left) when I copy emails between IMAP folders and local folders (both directions).

Is this bug fixed?
