Details
Reproducible on: - the latest Beta (BuildID: 20131209204824): Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux i686; rv:27.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/27.0 - the latest Aurora (BuildID: 20131211004000): Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux i686; rv:28.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/28.0 - the latest Nightly (BuildID: 20131211030206): Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux i686; rv:29.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/29.0 - the latest RC (BuildID: 20131205075310): Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux i686; rv:26.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/26.0 under Ubuntu 13.04 x86. Steps to reproduce: 1. Open Firefox. 2. Initiate the download of, preferably, a larger file (e.g. http://www.ubuntu.com/download/desktop). 3. Check the toolbar and dock (taskbar) download indicators. Expected results: A download indicator will be displayed on the download button from Firefox's toolbar and also on the browser icon displayed in Ubuntu's applications dock. Actual results: The download indicator is only shown in the browser's toolbar, missing from the applications dock. Notes: 1. This issue is based on Bug 906620. The fix applied for Bug 906620 could not be verified as fixed on Ubuntu. 2. This issue is not a regression as it is also reproducible on Firefox 20.0 (BuildID: 20130326150557): Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux i686; rv:20.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/20.0, which is the first Fx build containing the new download manager.

I'm going to close this bug as an Invalid, because I am not experienced this issue anymore on newer version of Ubuntu using Firefox 125.0b8, it is not expected that the download icon displays on Ubuntu's application dock.
