When a function call has no more child calls, the hover state makes the selection state confusing. When clicking somewhere in the middle (because, as programmers, we're in a perpetual hurry), there's no way of immediately knowing what we clicked on, until the mouse moves away. Confusing.

This is fixed in the latest iteration of bug 929349, so this can close when that patch lands.
