Tested this with the 01/09 Firefox 28.0a2 on Windows 7 64bit and Mac OS X 10.8.5, but I couldn't reproduce the bug. This sound like a bug that could be specific to older machines. What CPU and GPU have you got? And is your graphics driver up-to-date? The machines I worked on are: * miniMac with nVIDIA GeForce 9400 graphics and an Intel Core 2 Duo processor; * PC with Intel HD 4000 graphics and an Intel Core i5-3470 processor.

Video showing F11 being toggled.
I just updated all my drivers and attached a screenshot showing the computer specs. I'm using Firefox Nightly 28.0a1 on Windows 8.1 on a fairly new Sony Vaio. I've also attached a video showing me toggling F11 a few times. It feels pretty quick now, but still does a little bit of jogging when redrawing.
I was able to see the jitteriness and redraw effect with Firefox 28 and in Nightly on Windows 7.

This still occurs in Firefox 48 on an Intel i7 Skylake. See attached video.
