Some sites try to display HTML customized for a particular browser, and choke when they encounter Mozilla/5.0. How about if Mozilla could lie about what browser it is, to force a site to give us legitemate HTML instead of an error message? This may lead to an arms race between browser and server makers, but that's the price a site pays for second-guessing its customers.
actually, you can already do this in prefs.js, but there is not yet a GUI based interface. Marking dup of bug 46029 *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 46029 ***
