*** Original post on bio 1240 by Eric Caron <eric.caron AT gmail.com> at 2012-01-18 15:39:00 UTC *** When a user sends an invite to talk on Google Talk (at the moment this is purely within our organizations Google App account, I haven't tested it between app accounts or on regular Google Talk) the invite gets lost. If I'm signed into the web interface and Instantbird at the same time, I see the invitation flicker in the web interface and then immediately disappear. Not messages appear in the error console when the invitation is sent (and lost.) This is a "major" problem because people can't use Instantbird since building the list of chat contacts.

*** Original post on bio 1240 at 2012-06-29 20:08:46 UTC *** Can anyone confirm this does *not* happen with the current nightlies (ie, JS-XMPP)?
Component: Other → XMPP
OS: Windows 7 → All
Product: Instantbird → Chat Core
Hardware: x86 → All

I've successfully received a chat invite/add contact request from gtalk with JS-XMPP recently, so I am resolving this WFM. Please reopen if it still occurs.

Just a note that this bug was open about a Google App account, not a standard Google Talk account.
