I have tried to add several SIP accounts, but I get none of them to work. I have tried different accounts from different providers (for example ippi.fr and fastvoip.com), but with each of the accounts the result is the same: it starts trying establish a connection and it all ends there. It just keeps trying to connect for ever... No error messages. I have tried several settings with like different ports, with and without the use of proxy.

Have you connected to these accounts via Pidgin, by any chance? You could also try updating to Instantbird 1.2 and seeing if that helps. Please let us know if this fixes it.

If you're still having issue connecting SIP accounts in Instantbird 1.3, please reopen this bug.
