RESOLVED DUPLICATE of bug 943206

People

(Reporter: lsblakk, Unassigned)

Details

(Keywords: regression)

STR: (*this worked for me in both 26.0.1 and 27.0)

1. Go to an upworthy video (eg: http://www.upworthy.com/a-glimpse-at-how-the-media-treated-women-this-year-is-a-look-at-way-too-many-cringe-worthy-moments-aa3-5c-2?c=fea)

Actual Results: With the video not playing, you can scroll the play area out of sight, leaving a black box (this can also be done once you start playing the video so that you end up hearing but not seeing the media)

Expected Results: Videos should not scroll, stay fixed in their content area
Unable to reproduce in 29.0a1 (2013-12-31)
This sounds like bug 943206.
I can reproduce this on our most current Nightly (2014-01-08) by just going to the front page of Upworthy and selecting the first link to a video post. If this is bug 943206 then I think we have a more serious issue here that, even though it's been present since FF25 (at least) is giving a terrible user experience. Has anything come up about this in Sumo forums/input?

I haven't seen anything specific about this issue so far, but yeah we should get this fixed asap.

It's worth asking Botond to see if he can reproduce with the non-java APZC to see if it's pretty much the same as bug 943206?

I can reproduce the problem with the java APZC, but not with the native APZC.
