Details

Environment: -------------------------- V1.3 Gaia 01e9da49be2cc4bc134eeefc434740d572ec2246 Gecko http://hg.mozilla.org/releases/mozilla-aurora/rev/61f553e5db49 BuildID 20140101004001 Version 28.0a2 ro.build.version.incremental=eng.archermind.20131114.105818 ro.build.date=Thu Nov 14 10:58:33 CST 2013 Reproduce Steps: -------------------------- 1. Launch email 2. configure email using an invalid 163 account: such as abcdef@163.com and input random password 3. Tap on Next --> Email Authentication can pass and user can successfully configure this account. Android does not have this problem. [expected] Authentication should fail.

This is believed to be fallout from 163.com's wacky ActiveSync implementation; we are moving 163.com to just using IMAP which should resolve this. Duping to the bug for that change which is slated for uplift to v1.3.
