Bug 880121 added basic support for a host application to control aspects of GeckoView, but we still need to support a way to expose permission requests (geolocation, saving passwords, WebRTC, etc) via an API.
Blocks: 880107
Hello, would it be possible for this API to allow controlling the caching behaviour of Gecko?
What I am particularly missing currently in the Android Webview API is a way of setting the size of the disk cache (all the way down to 0!) or cache only in memory. This is particularly important to be able to achieve features such as zero footprint on the device.
Summary: Add support for a permssion API in GeckoView → [geckoview] Add support for a permission API
OS: Linux → Android
Hardware: x86_64 → All
Mass change of bugs in the "Embedding: GRE Core" component in preparation for archiving it. I believe that these are no longer relevant; but if they are, they should be reopened and moved into a component relevant to the code in question.
