Details
User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux i686; rv:28.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/28.0 Iceweasel/28.0a2 (Beta/Release)
Build ID: 20131215004001
Steps to reproduce:
Typed the wrong password or didn't even have an account, on some sites.
Actual results:
Was still asked "Remember this password?"
Expected results:
As a long term goal, Firefox could detect some common clues that the password was not accepted. Though how to do it differs by site, this could be a continual project, so don't close this bug!
Also a protocol could be promoted, where sites could standardize their responses, much like HTTP 401, etc.
We can't check if you typed the right password.
