From Bugzilla Helper: User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:0.9.3+) Gecko/20010817 BuildID: 2001081715 I downloaded and installed the Java from Netscape (Mozilla does that automatically). Also downloaded and installed Macromedia Flash-player. I then looked at Help --> About Plug-ins, Mozilla does not list either of them. The plugins directory has a link to the Java plugins and has a copy of the flash player plug-in (as well as its classes as described in the instructions of Flash player). I tried a fresh new installation of Mozilla still does not help. I work with Mandrake 8.0 which I have just installed yesterday on a new hard disk (ie, no previous installations of this OS). When I copy the Flash-player to Netscape plug-ins directory, Netscape lists it correctly. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Remove Mozilla and any corresponding objects. 2.Download a fresh install, select 'Browser only' from the installer. 3.Go to a page with Java/Flash player (try http://www.maariv.co.il as it has both). Mozilla prompts you for installation. Click OK, Java first. 4.Download Flash-player from Macromedia and follow the included instructions. 5. Restart Mozilla and try a page with Java/Flash player. Actual Results: Mozilla does not recognize its Java/Flash-player plugins. Expected Results: List Java plugin. List Flash-player plugin. When you restart Mozilla it may come back with a message stating the previous installation was not completed which is yet another bug.
Man, I am going to remember 69167 for the rest of my life. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 69167 ***
