Details |
User creates manual setup for POP3 account with correct username and password for POP3 settings and SMTP settings but invalid username with correct password beneath 'your name' doesn't display on-screen message that incorrect information has been entered on device. Account creation completes and user has most functionality once within the account - the exception being unable to send messages (forward email, reply to email, compose email to a valid address)
Repro Steps:
1) Updated buri to BuildID: 20140115004003
2) Tap Email App and select Manual setup link
3) Enter any name, incorrect account name, correct password
4) Enter correct POP3 settings username and host name and default SSL = 995
5) Enter correct SMTP settings username and host name and default SSL = 465
6) Tap Next
Actual:
Account manual setup completes and user is able to access inbox and other folders (sent, local folders, sent trash) with the incorrect username listed when selecting the drawers icon from within the inbox and is located above the highlighted word 'inbox'
Expected:
On screen message that incorrect username entered and account manual setup is not allowed to complete

Other notes:
1. The e-mail domain you used/are using to create the account: aol.com
2. If this is not a problem creating the account, the account type the e-mail client thinks it is using: POP3
3. Confirmed the net connection is working
4. Logcat provided shows behavior from selecting email app on device through moment account setup is completed to the point attempted forwarding an incoming mail to a valid email address when device displays Sending email failed message

This issue does not occur on Buri 1.2
POP3 is not a feature on Buri 1.2; therefore, behavior described in Comment 0 cannot be attempted.
