Details

If I join a channel, then double-click a username from the list of users on the left to bring up a private chat with that user, then try to change my nick by selecting the "change nickname" menuitem next to the chat box, I immediately see the message 'The nickname “[nickOfPersonI'mChattingWith]” is already in use, use the /nick command to pick a new one.' up in the conversation section of the window. I'd expect to be able to change my nick from any tab in chatzilla through the UI options, but it seems like Chatzilla is trying to automatically send the "/nick" command along with the nick of the person I'm chatting with, which obviously fails.
Should've looked through existing bugs a bit better, just found bug 824843.
