C:\WINDOWS\Favorites from IE 5.5 is migrated to bookmarks as both C:\WINDOWS\Favorites and C:\WINDOWS\FAVOURITES Both contain exactly the same bookmarks. Work around is to delete one of the two folders in "Manage Bookmarks" Cosmetic problem of nuisance value to novices.
This seems like a dup of bug 68861 Eoin, the only difference that I find between your report and the comments in that bug is that your second path (C:\WINDOWS\FAVOURITES) has a different spelling and not only uppercase like 68861. Is this a typo?
Yes, I used UK English spelling by mistake in the bug report. That's probably also the reason I didn't find bug 68861 when I did a search. Sorry for the inconvenience *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 68861 ***
