User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; rv:26.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/26.0 (Beta/Release) Build ID: 20131205075310 Steps to reproduce: Open the following link: http://%D0%BF%D1%80%D0%B5%D0%B7%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BD%D1%82.%D1%80%D1%84/ Actual results: Firefox adds www. in front of the URL and attempts to open http://www.президент.рф/ which doesn't exist. Expected results: http://президент.рф/ should have opened.
Retested and confirmed in version 29.0a1 (2014-01-20) [bugday-20140120] on Windows 7 64bit In Firefox I get http://www.президент.рф/ and server not found In IE I get the same URL and This page can not be displayed In Chrome I get http://xn--d1abbgf6aiiy.xn--p1ai/ and the correct site opens

Firefox 37.0.1 Location bar shows http://www.президент.рф/ but instead of the site, there's a Server Not Found page saying Firefox can't find the server at www.%d0%bf%d1%80%d0%b5%d0%b7%d0%b8%d0%b4%d0%b5%d0%bd%d1%82.%d1%80%d1%84. Nightly 40.0a1 (2015-04-06) Location bar shows http://президент.рф/ but instead of the site, there's a Sever Not Found page saying Firefox can't find the server at %d0%bf%d1%80%d0%b5%d0%b7%d0%b8%d0%b4%d0%b5%d0%bd%d1%82.%d1%80%d1%84.
