Details

Using mozilla 0.9.3, when I copy from outside mozilla and paste into a textarea or the mail composer by pushing the middle mouse button the pasted text doesn't appear where I clicked. This only seems to happen if the text is too big for the box and the box has to be scrolled. This doesn't happen all the time, so I'm not sure how to reproduce. This also happens if I select paste from the edit menu.
I can confirm this with 0.9.3 Linux. I can't believe this isn't a dup, but I've had no luck finding it.

Is this Linux-specific? Can anyone reproduce on Macintosh or Windows?
More details: This bug does happen if I do the copy from withing mozilla, even from within the same text box. Before I thought it only happend if the copy came from outside mozilla. Just now after the paste with the mouse button ended up in the wrong place I did a paste from the edit menu, and an older version of the clipboard was inserted in the right place. That older version was not the system clipboard, but an something I had previously copied from withing mozilla. Does mozilla keep its own clipboard seperate from the system clipboard?
duping forward to bug 97207, which is a spinoff now that bug 57913 has been fixed. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 97207 ***
