I think this is possible through the IInputPanelConfiguration interface - http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/windows/desktop/jj126267(v=vs.85).aspx We'd need text pattern support first though for this to work.

Jim do you know if this would work for Windows 10 as well? Would implementing this short-circuit the need for UIA/MSAA instantiation for many users?
