I hope the giant bookmark menu is a bug, if not why the heck you convert the whole Desktop Browser in to a touch optimized browser?
On my Desktop PC, i prefer use the mouse cursor and not my whole hand to select a bookmark and i will definitely not use touchscreen on my Desktop!
IE, Chrome and Opera separate between touch optimized and Desktop version!

Please add a check if touch is enabled and if not, serve the old compact menu!

This doesn't seem to be a touch-optimized bookmark bar, touch optimization is usually even larger.

This is just a bit spaced out and easy to click on. 


Also, this is what I see on Nightly on Linux, so the size probably will get reduced a bit later. Or, it's a theming issue on your side that depends on a system update.

FWIW  my Chrome on Windows has the same type of toolbars and bookmark bar.
