The plan and layout looks like it's coming together. Julia and Kathryn, can we regroup and chat how we can package and finish this together?

Yes, we can. I just sent Amira an invite to the google drive folder with the content. Link to Google Drive folder: https://drive.google.com/folderview?id=0B5ga06pZVp55QXp5azJzcjRCSkk&usp=sharing
Link to etherpad: https://teach.etherpad.mozilla.org/makerpartyresources

Copy is priority. It varies greatly right now from resource to resource. I think we will have to rewrite a lot of it in short and relevant snippets.

Can we also aim to have one "these are the main ingredients for a great Maker Party" type resource that just up-levels the key elements for a successful event? Is the idea that each of the elements you outline under "Before," "During," "After,"... is a separate resource, or there will be one resource/page for "Planning Your Event" that has lots of subheads/categories, then same for "During Your Event," etc.

An ingredients page is a great idea. A list of items categorized under the headings of "before, during and after". The list can link to resource pages with more information if needed.

we looked at ted x resources in our thinking: http://www.ted.com/pages/designing_your_tedx_event
Hey Yall!!

I hope you had a happy webmaker week - I heard great things and have been able to have some good follow up conversations. This is my first bug, so forgive me if this was already shared (might have been). I attempted to make a flow of the things one encounters on planning a Maker Party. Some of these are already included above (shout out to Kathryn for sharing HiveTor's things with me and Amira's docs during my planning process).

This was pulled together quickly, but with the hopes that the flow of information could be picked up by anyone in our network that wanted to throw such an event. Might not be the best way to organize it, but I wanted to share anyway: https://docs.google.com/a/mozillafoundation.org/document/d/1c30jJc3EP4X04OoJC-7UUyBB0qkMyG8Qu2beDsoB3mg/edit

All the links go to folders in this GDrive: https://drive.google.com/a/mozillafoundation.org/?urp=https://drive.google.com/a/mozillafoundation.org/&pli=1#folders/0B6mGhu9NK1axeG9HOVA5SEY2N1E

Also adding this recent Hive Research Lab resource to the mix http://hiveresearchlab.files.wordpress.com/2014/02/hrl-jumpstarts.pdf

It's tips for 1) event organizers and 2) activity facilitators, through the lens of how to support interest-driven learning pathways for youth, and networked innovation.
