Once the user has chosen what to sync, and the browser has responded, the success doorhanger should appear.

We've certainly implemented this and tested that it works, so if you're seeing otherwise we should dig into it.

I assume you mean selecting what to sync during account setup, which is WFM.  If you're talking about selecting what to sync from Prefs panel later, then I don't think we want a success hanger.

If you mean that you can verify that after selecting what to sync during account setup, the panel indicating we are now synching appears, then please close this bug WFM (and FWIW, I'm sure I've seen this work fine)

Correct, no doorhanger is expected in that case.
