+++ This bug was initially created as a clone of Bug #790268 +++ When IE10 is not set as the default browser on Windows 8, it asks the user whether to set it as default (just as Firefox does). If the user says yes, then IE launches its Metro UI automatically. This saves the user from going back to the start screen and re-launching IE to get to the Metro UI. We should do the same, at least in the case where the user starts Firefox from a Metro tile (but it launches in desktop mode because it is not the default browser).
