Hi,
After some discussions, we think it'd be very useful to have an API for accessing camera's flash that just needs privileged (and not certified) permissions. So apps that would be using this API could be just privileged apps.
Just as an example, the flashlight app cannot be loaded in the marketplace because it uses a certified API for accessing the camera's flash, so it has to be preloaded in the devices. And if the user decides to delete it, it has no choice to reinstall it after that.
Nominated to 1.4?
Thanks!
David

Not taking features for 1.4 at this time unless they are QC feature needs or DSDS feature needs.

Cleaning up Device Interfaces component, and mass-marking old FxOS bugs as incomplete.
If any of these bugs are still valid, please let me know.
