After click the arrow to see the URL history list... you should see http://ftp... instead of ftp://ftp... Exemple if you go to "ftp://ftp.apple.com" in the drop-down list you will have "http://ftp.apple.com". I will attach screenshot. BTW: The autocomplete function handle ftp protocol prefix correctly... Reproducible: Always

Yep! I've seen the same. I'm on Win2000, and WinME using build 20010824. I can aslo say that _occasionally_ I will also see "https://" in the mix too. I'll mark as new, but I will continue to look for a duplicate. Also I will mark it "All", because it appears to be on both "Mac" and PC /"Windows". Feel free to change it if you disagree.

Same happens, if I enter /tmp (on Unix): <http:///tmp> goes into the urlbar dropdown.
