Until we have a full solution for bug 969820, it would be good to have a workaround for adding arbitrary extensions. The proposed workaround is to allow the user to use external tools to create a binary encoding of one or multiple certificate extensions, and enable certutil to embed them when creating new certificates (or certificate requests).
